Physicians continue to practice medicine in a litigious society. In the past, increased risk of payments (regardless of fault) resulted in a market retreat of insurance providers. Consequently, the remaining market providers experienced little or no competition, resulting in a market with limited choice and low client satisfaction. While some carriers left this market, Louisiana Premier Physicians Program (LP3) and Louisiana Premier Insurance Agency focus on offering physicians a stable, medical liability insurance plan, underwritten by the country’s larges surplus lines carrier.
LP3 and Louisiana Premier Insurance Agency were created to provide a sound alternative for professional liability and medical malpractice coverage. We offer our program exclusively to a select group of the best physicians licensed and practicing in Louisiana. Our founders are dedicated and highly experienced professionals in the medical, legal, accounting and insurance industries.
We wholeheartedly believe it is our responsibility to:
At Louisiana Premier Insurance Agency, we want to work together on issues critical to both of us, including insurance matters, litigation management, public relations and legislature.
Financial strength = Financial security
The Louisiana Premier Physicians Program is underwritten by one of the nation’s leading property and casualty insurers, which is part of one of the strongest and most stable insurance and financial services organizations in the world.
We offer our policyholders claims made malpractice insurance, which provides coverage for all claims reported during the policy year, regardless of when the incident occurred. Prior Acts or “nose” coverage is included for our eligible insured Physicians, enabling them to avoid paying “tail” coverage to their previous carrier.
We are pleased to offer excess insurance with limits up to two million dollars to those Physicians who desire additional coverage above the PCF layer of $500,000. Free “tail” coverage is provided to Physicians in our Program who meet eligibility requirements for death, disability or retirement.
